Motorsport with passion: MANN-FILTER and the "Mamba" celebrate strong season results
MANN-FILTER looks back on an exciting and successful 2024 motorsport season. Together with partner team WINWARD Racing and drivers Lucas Auer and Maro Engel, impressive successes were achieved, which once again catapulted the unmistakable "Mamba" into the hearts of motorsport fans. Not forgetting Daniel Morad, who supported the driver duo in the Endurance Series. In the truck segment, the premium filtration brand strengthened the connection with Steffen Faas and the tankpool24 Racing Team in the European FIA Truck Racing Championship and celebrated highs and lows in various racing series. A strong #Mambamania season review:
Ludwigsburg, December 3, 2024 – As every year, it is a very exciting moment for drivers, fans and teams when “Gentlemen, start your engines” sounds from the loudspeakers for the last time of the season, the visors are lowered and the engines roar. It is the moment that brings tears to the eyes of some of those involved when the checkered flag is waved and another motorsport season is consigned to history. MANN-FILTER celebrated a number of successes in the DTM, GTWC and truck racing this year and looks back on the year.
MANN-FILTER and WINWARD Racing win championship title
A very special highlight of the 2024 motorsport season for MANN-FILTER is the title win in the GTWC overall Championship as well as the Sprint Cup. The season started for WINWARD Racing and a perfectly prepared Mamba with victory in the first race, setting the standard for a successful year. The team ended every race in the top 5 and the trophies on the podium were well deserved by the drivers. The Sprint Cup championship title and, at the end of the season, the overall GT World Challenge Europe championship was a fitting success not only for the drivers, but also for the hard-working team and a recognition of all those involved and the fans who actively stood by their sides and crossed their fingers when things got tight on the track. "It was a very successful season, which we were able to crown with the title," enthuses Mamba driver Maro Engel. "Nine podium results in eleven races and four victories. It was a strong year!"
Rollercoaster ride in the DTM – a highly competitive field
The DTM is known most of all for one thing: racing at the highest level and tenths of a second, if not milliseconds, making the difference between victory and defeat. This year, MANN-FILTER, together with WINWARD Racing and Lucas Auer, took on this challenge and was able to grow and improve. A racing season with highs and lows that brought the team closer together and created emotional moments. "The DTM was a difficult season. We had both great moments and difficult racing weekends," says Lucas Auer, who was a fan favorite driver at the wheel of the yellow-green racing car. "In the end, we achieved a conciliatory end to the season with a podium in Hockenheim and it was generally an honor for me to be able to represent the Mamba." The closeness to the fans and the encouragement that MANN-FILTER experienced in the DTM this season will be remembered by many and will bring a smile to their faces. So many yellow-green shirts and caps on the grandstands, which attracted attention and created a sense of togetherness – that's what motorsport is all about. We would like to thank all those involved and the fans who made these unforgettable moments possible!"
Snappy racing trucks deliver exciting races
Once again this year, premium filtration brand MANN-FILTER used the environment of the European FIA Truck Racing Championship to demonstrate the use of its own product portfolio to customers. Together with Steffen Faas, who holds the position of both driver and team leader in the tankpool24 Racing Team, MANN-FILTER created exciting workshops off the race track. But the racing action was not to be overlooked either and provided thrills and excitement. The MANN-FILTER branded racing truck made its mark and ultimately won the team the bronze medal in the Chrome Championship.
MANN-FILTER on the motorsport rollercoaster
MANN-FILTER sponsorship manager Filippina Manou experienced the motorsport season up close and sums up the year in her own words:
"All in all, it was a fantastic season with many customers from all over Europe, exciting events and many great moments. There were a few ups and downs – the typical motorsport rollercoaster ride. With the title in the GTWC, we are very proud of our performance. We don't take this for granted, because behind success there are many people who work hard, put in overtime and make the impossible possible. We have received a lot of encouragement this year: our large fan base ranges from children who wallpaper their rooms in yellow and green with the Mamba to adults who decorate their workshops in the same way." The 2024 motorsport year is over, but we’re already looking forward to next year! One thing is certain: In 2025, MANN-FILTER will again be represented in motorsport together with WINWARD Racing."
The 2024 chapter of the motorsport year has come to an end, but the story is far from over. MANN-FILTER will also put together a thrilling motorsport package next year and ensure action on and off the race track. “We would like to thank all our partners, teams, drivers and fans for an unforgettable season and look forward to the next one,” says Manou enthusiastically.
